Magic Something is the blog of Kev Stone, a freelance web designer based in Leeds, UK. Magic Sandwich is the professional side of Kev, whereas Magic Something is where he writes freely.
Magic Sandwich began business in 2005 and has been operating successfully ever since. Magic Something was not created until late 2006, and the site you are looking at is currently in its second incarnation. Magic Something is designed using a 4 column grid system, and makes use of the typeface Clan Narrow.
For more on grid based designing, read Smashing Magazine's excellent list of resources.

Kev grew up in the small village of Woolavington, Somerset (UK), until the age of 19 where he finally packed up and shipped off to the University of Leeds, studying for a BA in Geography whilst attempting to save the world. It was here where he was first taught web design and found his love for the art and science of design and has been passionately involved in design ever since. In his spare time Kev enjoys playing basketball, surfing, and trying to teach himself the guitar (very badly). Other than this, above all else; he love's his friends.
Kev's views on design are somewhat traditional in there stance and favor's function before form. Design influences are wide and varied, but he is a keen lover of typography and grid systems in graphic design, producing elegant designs that are highly functional.
